At Britannia Acoustic and Fire Ltd., we recently took on the challenge of implementing first-fix fire stopping solutions at Gloster Park, a significant building project that required meticulous attention to safety and quality standards. Of the 12 plots available for this stage, our team was tasked with reviewing and enhancing five specific plots – 48, 57, 58, 59, and 64. Our approach was anchored in using high-quality ablative coated Rockwool batts and compatible intumescent materials to secure service penetrations, a testament to our commitment to employing the best resources for the job.
Our dedication to following the manufacturers’ instructions to the letter was evident in the neatly installed fire batts across all plots we worked on. This precision was mirrored in the application of intumescent mastic around all penetrations through protected hallways, ensuring airtight safety measures were in place. Furthermore, our commitment to detailed workmanship was showcased through the thorough labelling of all penetrations and fire stopping, which was meticulously logged as part of our rigorous Quality Assurance (QA) process.
